Low-volume PCB assembly for small-batch, high-mix builds

OrinewPCB brings PCB fabrication, sourcing of genuine electronic components, assembly and inspection together in one coordinated service. We focus on small and medium batches with multiple board variants, helping your team move from prototype to repeat orders without managing several suppliers.

  • One accountable teamPCB fabrication, original component sourcing and assembly.
  • 100% new, original partsWe source new, authentic components for your approved BOM.
  • 9-step quality workflowIncoming checks through final shipment inspection.

One-stop assembly for changing product mixes

High-mix, low-volume PCB assembly means producing smaller quantities across several designs or revisions. It is a good fit for prototype validation, pilot runs, specialist products and regular orders with frequent design changes. We coordinate PCB fabrication, component procurement, SMT and through-hole assembly, inspection and shipment around your approved files and schedule.

Turnkey procurement

We work directly with component manufacturers and distributors to seek favorable material pricing and availability. We review the BOM against sourcing and lead-time risks before confirming the quote. Any proposed alternative part requires your approval.

Mixed assembly needs

SMT and through-hole components can be combined where the design calls for them. Share package details, board complexity and test requirements so our engineers can confirm the right build and inspection approach.

Small and medium batches

Send the quantities for each board version. We assess your mix of prototypes, pilot builds and repeat orders individually, including any staged delivery needs.

Quality starts with genuine components

OrinewPCB uses 100% new, original and authentic materials. Incoming material checks and production-stage inspections help us catch issues before boards leave the factory. Our nine quality checkpoints are:

  1. IQC incoming material inspection
  2. SPI solder paste inspection
  3. Online AOI inspection
  4. SMI first article inspection
  5. IPQC in-process inspection
  6. Offline AOI inspection
  7. X-ray solder-joint inspection where applicable
  8. QC manual inspection
  9. QA shipment inspection

The inspection plan depends on the board and component packages; for example, X-ray is relevant to hidden solder joints. Provide your functional test specification if electrical or functional testing is required for your project.

Small-batch assembly cost and lead time

Our relationships with component manufacturers and distributors help us obtain favorable sourcing prices and material lead times. We aim to ship as quickly as the approved BOM, PCB fabrication, assembly complexity and testing allow. We confirm the achievable schedule for each project in the quotation instead of giving a blanket delivery promise.

The total turnkey price depends on board specifications, component availability and approved substitutions, the number of designs, quantities per design, assembly steps and the requested test plan. Supplying complete files early helps us identify cost and schedule options before production begins.

What to send for an accurate PCBA quote

You can use our contact and quote form to share your project. Include the following where available; if a file is not ready, tell us what is still in development.

01 PCB fabrication files

Gerber or ODB++ files, layer stack-up, board dimensions and any special finish or material requirements.

02 Component BOM

Part numbers, quantities, approved manufacturers and any parts you will supply yourself.

03 Assembly data

Pick-and-place file, assembly drawings, polarity notes and relevant revision information.

04 Build mix

Quantity for each PCB design, prototype or production stage, and expected future volumes.

05 Quality needs

Inspection, functional test, programming and documentation requirements.

06 Delivery target

Requested destination, preferred delivery date and any critical milestones.

Low-volume PCB assembly questions

What is the minimum order quantity for a small-batch build?

Share the quantity for each board revision when requesting a quote. Minimum order quantity and setup costs are reviewed for the specific design, component sourcing and inspection requirements. Ask us to compare prototype, pilot-run and repeat-order quantities before placing an order.

What is high-mix, low-volume PCB assembly?

It is the assembly of smaller quantities across multiple PCB designs, revisions or configurations. The exact quantity depends on the product and project; share the build mix so we can quote it accurately.

Can OrinewPCB source the components as part of the assembly?

Yes. Our turnkey service includes component procurement for your approved BOM. We use new, original and authentic materials and discuss any availability issue or alternative with you before proceeding.

Can you assemble boards with both SMT and through-hole parts?

Yes, mixed assembly can be planned from the design files. We review the component packages, board design and testing needs before confirming the manufacturing route.

How soon can my PCB assemblies be delivered?

We prioritize the fastest practical turnaround for each build. The confirmed date depends on component availability, PCB fabrication, design complexity, order quantity and test requirements; we provide the project-specific schedule with the quote.

What if I only need PCBs or electronic components?

Tell us the scope in your RFQ. We can discuss PCB fabrication or genuine electronic component sourcing separately, while our main advantage is a coordinated, one-stop PCB assembly service.

Ready to discuss your next build?

Send OrinewPCB your BOM and build files. We will review the mix, sourcing, quality requirements and delivery target, then prepare a project-specific one-stop PCB assembly quote.
